How are mortgage leads generated? ProspectZone runs a network of consumer-oriented websites featuring information and advice about getting a mortgage. All our sites include forms for mortgage shoppers to request free quotes. When a shopper requests a quote, their information is instantly sent to a broker subscribed in their area.

ProspectZone leads are NEVER incentivized with offers for free prizes, special discounts, or other offers common on the internet. That means that the leads you get are people who want a mortgage quote — not people who downloaded some free coupons or entered an online contest.

What conversion ratios can I expect from my leads? Some brokers have closed as many as 1 in 4 ProspectZone leads — a conversion ratio of 25%. But remember, conversion ratios have as much to do with broker experience and the market being worked as they do with the leads themselves.

What guarantees do you make about lead quality? Our mortgage leads are verified against U.S. Postal service data to confirm name and address, and against major Telecom company data to confirm phone number. Leads with incomplete information are manually verified through our in-house call center. Returned leads are manually verified on a daily basis by our in-house Quality Assurance department.

How will I get my leads? Leads are delivered to up to two designated email addresses. The lead information will also be stored in your secure online BrokerOffice account, for you to access and manage anytime.  You can access your BrokerOffice account by logging in at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/

You can also setup your mortgage leads to be delivered in a daily batch. To change your delivery options,

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Home" tab.
  4. Click "Edit Lead Profiles".
  5. Click the link found in the "Account" column.
    NOTE: Some people have more than one account. Each account operates independently, so repeat these steps for each account as appropriate.
  6. On the Edit Account Information screen, place a check in the "Lead Via Batch" box and select "Monthly", "Weekly", or "Daily" in the drop-down labeled "Mode".
  7. Click the "Submit" button to save your changes.

When can I expect to get my first lead? When a prospect in your subscription area requests a mortgage quote, the information will be verified and sent to your email address within 3 seconds.

What are lead filters? Lead filters are software-based controls that determine what type of leads you'll be sent. Filters make sure you only get leads in markets you want to work, and only for the kinds of loans you want to offer.

What filters are available? Mortgage leads can be filtered by:

  • Geography (state)
  • Loan type
  • Loan amount
  • Load to Value
  • Credit Rating

Note that adding more filters can reduce the number of leads you receive. You can add or remove filters at any time.

How do I add filters to my leads? To add lead filters:

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Home" tab.
  4. Click "Edit Lead Profiles".
  5. Click the link under the "Account" heading.
  6. Scroll down to the "Add/Edit Filter" link on the "Edit Account Information" page.
  7. On the "Lead Filter" page, you will see a listing of the available filters and their cost per lead.
  8. Select the filter you would like to add to your leads and click "Submit."
  9. You will be taken back to the "Edit Account Information" page. Click "Submit" to apply your filters.

How many brokers receive the same lead? On average, each mortgage lead is sent to only 2.14 brokers. In our Shared Priority and Shared Auction accounts, each lead is only sent to 4 mortgage brokers. If you have an Exclusive account, the leads are only sent to you.

When will my credit card be charged? Leads are pre-paid for by charging a deposit amount, equal to half your monthly lead order, on your credit card. As you receive leads, your credit card is automatically re-charged when your account balance is depleted to 25% of the initial deposit amount.

How can I view my billing history? You can view your billing statement anytime through your BrokerOffice account.

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Reports" tab.
  4. Click "Billing Summary".

How do I add funds to my account?

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Money Manager" tab.
  4. Click "Add Money".
  5. Confirm your credit card, and enter the amount you want to add.
  6. Click the "Charge" button. Your funds will be added.

How do I change my contact information?

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Home" tab.
  4. Click "Edit Account Info"
  5. Change your information.
  6. Click the "Submit" button to save your changes.

How do I get credit for an invalid lead?If you receive an invalid lead you have 10 days to provide your feedback and become eligible for possible credit.

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Leads" tab.
  4. Click the ID of the lead you would like to provide feedback on.
  5. Select the feedback category that applies from the drop down menu on the right.
  6. Add specific details about the lead in the comment field.
  7. Click the "Send Feedback" button.

Our Quality Assurance department will review the lead to determine if it meets our criteria for an invalid lead. If the lead is invalid, your account will be credited.

What constitutes an invalid lead? A lead is considered invalid if the lead:

  1. is not submitted by a real person (fictitious Lead);
  2. is submitted by a competitor;
  3. is submitted outside the service territory specified in the Agreement;

How soon will my account be credited for invalid leads? Leads with negative feedback are reviewed on a weekly basis. If a lead you've provided feedback on is deemed invalid by our Quality Assurance department, the cost of the lead will immediately be refunded to your account.

Can you guarantee a minimum number of leads a month? We cannot guarantee a minimum because the number will change monthly depending on how many people request a quote in your subscription area.

If we are not able to fulfill your lead order within six months, you will receive a full refund on any balance remaining.

Can I limit the number of leads I receive in a month?Yes. You can set a maximum monthly number of leads you wish to receive. This guarantees that you'll never be sent more mortgage leads than you requested.

How do I suspend delivery of leads? NOTE: Our system currently allows lead delivery to be suspended for a total of 30 days a year. To suspend lead delivery:

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Click the "Home" tab.
  3. Click the "Edit Lead Profiles" text link found in the orange bar.
  4. Click the link found in the "Account" column ("Auction" or "Priority", etc).

NOTE: Some people have more than one account. Each account operates independently, so repeat these steps for each account as appropriate.

  1. Near the bottom of the page you'll find a drop-down menu labeled "Status". From the drop-down menu select "Inactive".
  2. Click the "Submit" button.

What is BrokerOffice? All ProspectZone accounts include the BrokerOffice database for FREE. The BrokerOffice database is a lead management system that saves hours by letting you manage all your leads from ONE online source. BrokerOffice lets you sort leads, track campaigns, and run real-time reports.

Can I export leads from the BrokerOffice database? To export leads from BrokerOffice:

  1. Log in to your BrokerOffice account at www.brokeroffice.com/bo20/
  2. Enter your username and password.
  3. Click the "Advanced Search" link in the top left corner of the page (beneath the "Lead Search" box).
  4. Enter the appropriate information, and click "Search". If you would like to see all the leads available, click "Search" without entering any information. NOTE: Depending on how many leads you have available, it may take several minutes to load.
  5. You will be shown all the leads that meet your criteria in increments of 20. Under "Bulk Operate" (located on the top right of the page) choose "All Leads" or "Current Page".
  6. Check the box corresponding with the leads you would like to export. If you would like to export all leads, click the check box in the upper-left corner of the lead table.
  7. Click "Choose Bulk Operation".
  8. Click the button next to "Export Selected Leads".
  9. A confirmation page will appear. Click "Confirm Lead Export". NOTE: If you selected a large number of leads, it may take a few moments to prepare the file.
  10. You will be prompted to download the file "export.zip". Choose "Save" and select the location on your computer where you would like to save the file. NOTE: If the leads are saved with the extension JSP, change the extension to ZIP by renaming the file.
  11. Open the saved file with a Zip extraction utility (WinZip, WinRar, etc. Windows XP is able to open the file without any additional software).
  12. Your leads will be in CSV (Comma Separated Value) format. You can open them with Microsoft Excel or another compatible spreadsheet application.

How do I cancel my account? To cancel your account, send notification to billing@prospectzone.com or send a fax to 312-226-0710. Upon termination, any credit balance remaining from the deposit will be used to send the remaining leads purchased.
