The end of summer is the perfect time to target life leads. People experience more life changing events in August and September than in any other month - now is the time for them to reevaluate their insurance needs.
Did you know that August, not June, is the most active wedding month? Plus, it also marks the start of the late summer baby boom. In September, school starts and jobs change. To take advantage of this short season, remember these key points:
Protection is key. Parents face a new set of worries as they welcome home new babies and send kids off to school. When talking to leads, stress life insurance as guaranteed protection against the unknown. Buying a new policy or beefing up an old one can calm their fears and set them at ease.
Cross sell. Once you've got people thinking about protecting themselves and their families, remind them that health insurance is an integral part of the process. Life and health insurance go hand in hand, so why not buy them as a package?
Technology rules. Traditionally, selling life insurance has required time consuming, face-to-face interaction. But as the nature of the life insurance sale changes, internet driven leads are the ticket to success. You can easily target people in your state (or beyond) who are in these life changing periods and quickly respond to their needs.
Now is the time to get in front of potential leads as their families grow. With the right audience and the right pitch, you'll spend the coming months selling policies and cashing commission checks. But you won't just be making money - you'll be giving people peace of mind.
